TITLE: Opportunities and Challenges in Automotive Powertrain Control
TIME: 13:30~15:00, 21/10/2015
LOCATION: The center meeting room of library
SPEAKER: Tielong Shen,Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan

Abstract:

In order to satisfy the strict performance requirement of torque generation and emission, electronic real-time control is now spotlighted as an effective technology in automotive industry. However, modeling and control of the powertrains such as traditional combustion engines, hybridized with electric machines, especially during transient mode, are challenging issues. This talk introduces the recent trend in automotive powertrain control technologies, and address some case studies of modeling and control designs. Also, two benchmark examples provided by academic societies will be explained which provide an opportunity for the students who are interesting on the topic..
